Jerry Parr has a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Texas and over 25 years of professional experience in environmental chemistry including sampling, sample preparation, analysis, data evaluation and regulatory affairs.  In 1997, he became Principal of  Catalyst Information Resources, L.L.C. where his efforts involve providing information services to laboratory professionals on CD-ROM.   His professional interests are the establishment of a national laboratory accreditation program and the implementation of performance-based methods.

From 1984 to 1997, Jerry was employed with Quanterra, Inc.  His duties included assisting the laboratories with analytical issues, managing large and/or complex projects and serving as Quanterra's Director of Regulatory Affairs.  He was the principal investigator on work performed for the American Petroleum Institute for establishing methods for hydrocarbon analyses (GRO and DRO).

Prior to joining Quanterra, Jerry was a Technical Manager for Radian Corporation, (1974-1984) and a chemist at the Texas Department of Health (1972-1974).
